In addition for special events the club may open outside of these times.

The club is situated in the village hall but has it’s own room. It has a fully functioning bar and serves a range of drinks and snacks. The floor is carpeted and the furnishings are comfortable and clean.
The club is managed by and elected committee and village members take turns at staffing the bar on a voluntary basis.
The committee also organise many events throughout the year in the club and around the village. In particular the committee provides a free Christmas meal to all pensioners in the village should they choose to attend. The committee and ‘friends’ not only organise it they cook and serve the food. They even provide a Father Christmas. During the same week Christmas Starters is held when most of the village turn up. So this is a great opportunity to meet other village members if you are new to Scaldwell. It takes place on a Sunday and starts at 12 noon with tom bola's and raffles.
